Organic Farming A New And Safer Way To Grow Crops

Organic farming is one of the newest and most innovative ways to grow crops; the greatest benefit of growing crops from this method is that one can make sure they have been served with pure fruits and vegetables that are 100% free of chemicals and impurities, now when it comes to organic, we should know the accurate meaning of it ,organic farming means that when we grow crops free of chemical products like pesticides, insecticides, and many other kinds of chemicals for soil so that they can increase the productivity , in the race of increasing the productivity, farmers sometime use injections to increase the shape and size of the vegetables and fruits which is really harmful for health. There are many farmers who are still not aware about this kind of farming because of lack of knowledge and awareness about the latest developments, because of this very reason, they still continue to harvest the crops with all the old techniques they know, which in one way or the other harms the quality, nowadays in many rural areas, many farmers only focus on increasing their quantity; therefore, they do not give preference to the quality, this the main reason why people are falling sick more often. One good solution for increasing the awareness among the rural people regarding organic farming can be done by including a subject named “organic farming” in the course of the students studying in the rural areas because then the youth will get more aware regarding the organic farming and will get to know more new techniques used in organic farming. Our government should run local campaigns regarding spreading the awareness among the local rural people so that they can grab more knowledge about organic farming and they can adopt these ways, so that every farmer in the rural areas of India can engage in organic farming technique. There are many people who support organic farming on digital platforms one such kind of person is Purvi Vyas, after finishing her masters in 1999, Purvi came back to India and started working for several NGOs for sustainability and development. It was in 2002 when she joined the famous Environmentalist Bina Agrawal to work on one of her research projects that Purvi happened to get her first brush with the farming community. The research took her to a small tribal area of Netrang and Dediyapada in south Gujarat Purvi Vyas, a Masters in Environmental Management from Australia’s Western Sydney University, turned into a full-time organic farmer. She is now preparing the next generation of farmers and youngsters to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. Our government should also reach out to the women of the rural areas so that they also become aware of the concept of organic farming since women also contribute a lot towards crop production. Nowadays the craze for using organic products has been hyped up to such a level that many companies like Khadi and The Body Shop offer 100% organic products. This is because people have become smarter and they do not want to use ‘chemical based beauty and skin care products’ that could harm the skin. It is estimated that the sale of purely organic products will be doubled within the next 5 years. Organic products are revolutionary products because they are very much useful in enhancing the health of the people and these products are very high in quality because of which they are giving a tough competition to the other chemical based products. Hence, when we talk about organic farming it’s not about solely using chemical free products while growing crops; it’s a vast topic that covers farming techniques, education, lifestyle products, certification of the products.
